overnight Postpartum Support

$75 per hour

I specialize in overnight shifts, providing families support regarding lactation, safe sleep practices, and newborn care education. We discuss each family's goals and how to achieve the most rest possible during the night.

My services include:

  • Nurture the birthing parent’s physical and mental recovery

  • Listen and validate your birth experience

  • Act with respect and kindness no matter the decisions you make for your family

  • Foster the participation of all caregivers

  • Guide through newborn care such as diapering, appropriate clothing, and more.

  • Support whatever feeding method you choose and set up plans after baby’s arrival: having a pump in place, bottles and correct nipple size, pumping/feeding station, optimal latch, comfortable positions to feed, and more

  • Light chores (e.g., baby laundry, tidying up the nursery)

  • Nurture parents intuition and confidence as they adjust to parenthood

  • Preparation of quick breakfast such as oatmeal or fruit bowl when possible

  • During our prenatal visit, help you set up the house for the baby’s arrival and keep spaces practical for feedings, recovery, and relevant products/tips

  • Provide tips for healthy sleep practices

  • Referrals to community resources

  • Minimum of 8 hs for overnight shifts

  • Support up to 14 weeks

Families receive extra resources: books to prepare about ‘Newborn Care’ and ‘Breastfeeding your baby’ - if that is the preferred feeding choice. They are wonderful for reference during pregnancy and postpartum, published by Plumtree Baby.
